Ours in Middlesbrough is a working demonstration of what we do: a real cinema room, smart lighting and multi-room audio, all live and ready for you to use, with the wider connected home shown through the Control4 app. Half an hour with us will tell you more than weeks of research ever could, and you're under no pressure or obligation at all. AV and smart home technology is almost impossible to judge from a website or a brochure. Specifications, photographs and feature lists cannot convey how a room sounds when the film starts, or how a lighting scene changes a space in a second. Those are things you feel rather than read about.

So the showroom is the natural next step once a website has taken you as far as words can. Everything you have been reading about is set up here and working, and half an hour in it will settle questions that weeks of research cannot.

Smart home, in your hand

Smart home you can actually use.

The phrase smart home means very little until you've actually used one. In the showroom you can dim a lighting scene from a keypad and watch the room change, and move music from one room to another. For the rest of the home, heating, blinds and security, you can explore it all through the Control4 app, the very same control you'd have at home, so you get a real, hands-on sense of how a whole connected home behaves, all from one place.

A visit is never a sales pitch, and it isn't the moment to commit to anything. It's where vague ideas settle into real preferences: the screen size that suits your room, the speaker tier you can genuinely hear the difference in, the lighting scene you didn't know you wanted until you dimmed it.

The time is entirely yours. Plenty of people visit, go home, keep reading, and come back when they're ready. Some start a month later, some a year later, and both are completely fine. The go-ahead is always yours to give.

Visits are by appointment, so we can set up what's most relevant to your project before you arrive. Most visits take around 45 minutes to an hour, entirely at your pace, with no obligation.

Before you visit.

Where is the Acoustic Pixel showroom?
Our showroom is at Unit 7, Mandale Park, Cannon Street, Middlesbrough, TS1 5AJ, around ten minutes from Middlesbrough town centre, with parking on site. It's our headquarters and only showroom, opened in 2023, with a full working demonstration of home cinema, smart lighting and audio, and the wider connected home shown through the Control4 app.
Do I need an appointment to visit?
Yes, visits are by appointment, so we can give you our full attention and set up what's most relevant to your project before you arrive. We're open Monday to Friday 8.30 to 5 and Saturday 9 to 2. Booking takes a minute: choose a time below or call 01642 903907.
Is there any obligation or cost to visit?
None at all. A showroom visit is free, with no obligation and no hard sell. Many people come simply to explore and learn long before they're ready to start a project, and that's very welcome. We'd much rather you came, enjoyed it, and left with a clear idea of what you'd love.
What can I see at the showroom?

How long does a visit take?
Usually around 45 minutes to an hour, though there's no rush at all and you're welcome to take as long as you like. We tailor it to what you'd like to see, so a visit focused on home cinema will spend more time in the cinema room, and a smart home visit more time on lighting and the Control4 app.
Can I bring my partner, family or children?
Of course, we'd love that. Most projects are a shared decision, so do bring whoever is part of it. Partners and family are very welcome, and children are too; many enjoy the cinema room. Just let us know roughly who's coming when you book, so we can set up comfortably for everyone.
Can I bring my plans or ideas to discuss?
Absolutely, and it really helps. Bring floorplans, photos, Pinterest boards, or simply your ideas. Seeing the systems working alongside a conversation about your own space is the fastest, most enjoyable way to understand what's possible and what it would involve.
