Programming reflects how the house has been laid out. Walk-through, documentation and aftercare, for the life of the system.

Stripped back to brick.
Renovation is the cleanest window for Premium work. Cable runs while ceilings are open, switch positions while plasterwork is being designed.
- 03Replacement · Yorkshire
Replacing an older system.
Older Crestron, early KNX, first-generation Control4. Most can be replaced in place. The first fix stays; the control comes up to current generation.

- How much does a Premium smart home system cost in the UK?
- Premium whole-home packages at Acoustic Pixel start from £9,000 for a three-bedroom property and £12,000 for a four-bedroom property. Each package covers the five foundations: networking, whole-property alarm, heating, lighting and Control4 whole-home control. Adding cinema, blinds and specialist audio, most projects sit between £25,000 and £50,000, and architect-led bespoke projects with specialist zones run from £50,000. Larger homes and unusual layouts are quoted as a custom package. All prices include VAT, system design, programming and installation.
- At what stage of a new build should I involve a smart home installer?
- As early as RIBA Stage 3 (Concept Design), ideally before electrical drawings are finalised. The cost difference between specifying smart home at design stage and retrofitting after completion is typically 30 to 60 percent of the system cost. Most architects we work with bring us in around Stage 3 or Stage 4.
- Do you work with architects and interior designers?
- Yes, and most Premium installations are architect-led. We routinely coordinate with architects, M&E consultants and interior designers from RIBA Stage 3 onwards, producing system designs that integrate with the rest of the build documentation. We also run a partner programme for architects and designers who regularly specify smart home work.
- How long does a Premium installation take?
- A typical Premium project runs twelve to twenty-four months from the first design conversation to handover, most of which is parallel with the build itself. The integration work is fast; the timeline reflects the build it's part of.
- Can you replace an older home automation system?
- Yes, and replacement projects are common at Premium level. Older Crestron, early KNX and first-generation Control4 installations are typically faster and cheaper to replace in place than to extend. We work with the existing first fix wherever it is sound.
