Who we are

Acoustic Pixel Ltd ("we", "us") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are registered in England and Wales (company number 11071260, VAT GB289607059), and we are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZB008591. What we collect

When you contact us through the website, by email or by phone, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, phone number and the information you share about your project. When you browse the site we also collect limited usage data, such as pages viewed, approximate region and device type. Some of that is collected without cookies and does not identify you; the rest is collected only if you consent to cookies. Both are described in our cookies policy.

How we use it, and our lawful basis

We use enquiry details to respond to you, prepare designs and quotations, and deliver any project you go ahead with. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, where you become a client, performance of our contract with you. Cookie-based analytics and advertising measurement run only where you have given consent, which you can withdraw at any time on our cookies page. Cookieless, aggregated visitor counts are collected on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site; they do not identify you.

We do not make any decision about you by automated means, and we do not carry out profiling.

Marketing

If you give us permission, we may occasionally email you about our work, services and offers that are likely to be of interest. We rely on your consent, or on the soft opt-in where you have enquired about our services, and we only ever send things relevant to what you asked about. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by emailing info@acousticpixel.co.uk. We will not pass your details to other companies for their marketing.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and our business: our website hosting and analytics provider (Vercel); the provider of our enquiry database and customer management system (Supabase), where your enquiry and project records are stored; Microsoft, whose email and office services we use to correspond with you; and, where you have consented to cookies, Google (Analytics) and Meta (the Facebook Pixel, which measures the response to our advertising). These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate data-processing agreements. We may also disclose data where required by law.

Where your data is processed

Your enquiry and customer records are stored on servers in the European Union (Supabase), and the forms on this site are processed in the United Kingdom. Some limited technical and analytics data handled by our hosting provider (Vercel) may be processed outside the UK, including in the United States. Where any personal data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for 24 months from our last contact with you, so that we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us. Records relating to a project we have carried out are kept for 7 years after completion, which covers our tax and accounting obligations and the period in which a claim could be brought. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained in aggregate for 14 months. We delete or anonymise data once these periods end.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where we rely on your consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time, which does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it. To exercise any of these, email info@acousticpixel.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
